teen access, unlocked at mayfield
Teens & parents, listen up! We've got some exciting new news...
We’ve lowered the minimum age for independent access at Balance Mayfield from 16 to 12.
Members aged 12–15 can now train at Mayfield without a parent or guardian onsite. Mayfield is staffed during all opening hours, so our team will always be there to offer support and help members use the facility safely.
Check out all our available plans here.
The Collective Teen Pass
Mayfield Only
Designed for teens aged 12–15 who want the independence of their own gym membership.
The pass includes:
- Independent access to Balance Mayfield
- A personal access FOB
- Gym-floor, cardio and weights access
- Group training and yoga
- Class bookings through the Balance app
- A free optional Teen Start Session
Swimming and Reformer Pilates are not included. Reformer Pilates is available through a separate Teen Reformer Pilates membership.
How to get started
Visit us in-club during staffed hours and a parent or guardian will need to:
- Complete the membership sign-up
- Co-sign the required paperwork
- Complete the junior pre-exercise form before the first visit
Once everything is complete, the new member will receive their FOB and can begin attending Mayfield independently.
Start with confidence
New members can book a free Teen Start Session with a Balance trainer.
The session includes a tour of the club, guidance on key equipment, gym etiquette and practical support to help teens feel comfortable getting started.
The session is optional and does not need to be completed before the member begins training.
Enquire at reception to book in.
Want access to every Balance location?
Teens aged 12–15 can remain on the existing all-sites Teen Gym Pass.
These members can attend Mayfield independently but must check in with reception rather than using FOB access. A parent or guardian must supervise them when they attend Cardiff or New Lambton.
Teen Reformer Pilates
Members aged 12–15 can attend Reformer Pilates independently at Mayfield with the appropriate Teen Reformer Pilates membership.
At New Lambton, a parent or guardian must be a Balance member and remain within the facility while the teen attends. They do not need to participate in the class.
Reformer sessions can be booked through the Balance app.
